Who We Are

For a relaxing flying experience in the friendly City of DeQuincy, head north of Interstate 10 to the DeQuincy Industrial Airpark…

The DeQuincy Industrial Airpark (5R8) is located 2 miles southwest of the City of DeQuincy in the northern part of Calcasieu Parish and is the approximate midpoint between Houston and Baton Rouge. Calcasieu Parish is experiencing high levels of growth and several large development projects in the area have resulted in increased utilization of the airport and new jobs for the local economy. The airport is home to more than a 16 Based Aircraft all single engine and there is room to build new hangars, attract additional activity, and to continue to contribute to the Louisiana Aviation System. The 2019 Louisiana Airports Economic Impact Study Update estimates that the airport generates a total of 17 full-time jobs with a payroll of $468,000 per year and has a total economic output of $1,756,000 per year. With a runway length of nearly 5,000 feet, the airport can handle a wide range of general aviation aircraft from small pistons to corporate jets.

Adjacent to the airport is the 50-acre DeQuincy Industrial Park which recently earned designation as an official Certified Site under Louisiana Economic Development’s (LED’s) Site Certification Program. It is the 11th Certified Site in Southwest Louisiana (8th in Calcasieu Parish) and is a ‘shovel-ready’ asset that will help attract new businesses and jobs to the community. The City of DeQuincy is being proactive about continuing to develop both the airport and the industrial park and leveraging those opportunities for creating economic growth. New hangars will be constructed in the near future to accommodate the demands of those who want to relocate their aircraft to the airport and we are working on providing additional amenities such as a new terminal building. For a relaxing flying experience in the friendly City of DeQuincy, head north of Interstate 10 to the DeQuincy Industrial Airpark. We invite you to visit our airport and community to learn about the many possibilities that we have to offer.
